Further examples of what our clients have said can be found at the bottom of this page.

These are a small selection of recent projects that Hardwick HR has undertaken:

Support:

  • Ongoing ad hoc advice, policies, contracts and training in HR issues for the line managers of an organisation providing social care to clients in their homes. This organisation also uses the skills of HHR to facilitate management meetings to ensure that all participants are able to concentrate on the business rather than the meeting administration.
  • The provision of advice, guidance and documentation to two small primary care organisations that merged, and ensuring that all the processes are within the legal boundaries, taking account of adequate consultation, maintaining staff morale and ensuring that TUPE takes place appropriately.
  • Facilitation for partners of a primary care organisation at away days to enable them to plan for the future in a structured way – including workforce planning.
  • Assisting an organisation with 170 staff to build up its HR department and provided strategic advice to the Senior Management team on HR issues. Hardwick HR was instrumental in reorganising the Staff Consultative Committee. Following significant input from our consultant, the organisation was successful in retaining its Investors in People status.
  • Project managing the National NHS initiative "Improving Working Lives" in a Primary Care Trust with 700 staff.

Contracts & Policies:

  • The development of a suite of policies and procedures for a manufacturing company in Devon, including the revision of their existing policies and contract of employment.
  • Writing and editing a large percentage of a good practice employment manual on behalf of a company delivering advice to small independent contractors across the South West.
  • The development of formal contracts, an induction handbook and appropriate policies for a restaurant that was opening a new branch and increasing its staffing by 500%.
  • The provision of policies, ongoing advice and an induction handbook for a fast growing SME, in Cornwall together with regular advice to the MD and Office Manager.
  • The provision of employment policies and ongoing audit, advice and guidance to ensure that all managers within a chain of bars across London follow good employment practice.
  • Audits for existing customers to ensure that as legislation changes their policies and practices reflect the changes.

Managing Employees:

  • The provision of documentation, advice and guidance to a number of small businesses who have had Employment Tribunal Applications made against them and needed to respond to the applications. In all cases the claimants did not reach the Tribunal for a hearing.
  • Advice to many SMEs in relation to long term sickness situations and managing staff back to work, individual grievances, disciplinary meetings and in some cases termination of employment.
  • Assisting SMEs that are merging or transferring ownership with the consultation and TUPE issues associated with such changes.
  • Assisting an educational establishment with a redundancy programme that included individual consultation meetings and redeployment.

Training/Facilitation:

  • The provision of Employment Law updates to GP practice managers.
  • The provision of seminars relating to attendance management to a range of line managers
  • Seminars on recruitment, selection and discrimination to a range of line managers
  • The provision of seminars on Human Resources Management to SME owner / managers.
  • Working in collaboration with other training providers in order to offer a highly participative and personal learning experience around interpersonal skills and people management.
